Staten Island is the smallest of the five boroughs of New York City, located on an island on the west side of the Narrows at the entrance of New York Harbor. It is the least populated, most ethnically homogeneous and most remote borough of New York City. Staten Island has an urban feel comparable to the areas of Eastern Queens and Northern Bronx.
